Congratulations to 2017 5’9 G Grace Weber from Kettle Moraine on committing to NCAA Division 2 to the University of Illinois Springfield. Grace has played for the Lakers for 5 years and joins her sisters Lindsey Weber (NCAA D2 Minnesota Crookston), and Olivia Weber (NCAA D2 California Baptist) to commit to play college basketball all who played for the Lakers program.
Grace is a very hard worker who put in a lot of work to achieve her goal. She was a regular at Laker training workouts as well individual training with Laker coaches. Her strength and athletic ability get overlooked at times as most take notice to her shooting ability. Her fierce competitiveness is something we are very much going to miss. She will be a great addition to a Springfield program that plays in the Great Lakes Valley Conference. It is going to be weird not having a Weber girl in our program after having 3 play for us for so long. We are happy that all 3 achieved their dream of playing at the next level.
Grace is the 8th player in our 2017 class to commit to an NCAA D1/D2 program this year.Read More
Congratulations to Abby Guidinger 5’10 2017 SG from Kettle Moraine on committing to NCAA D2 Minnesota Crookston from the Northern Sun Conference. Abby is our 3rd player to commit to a school in the Northern Sun this year! She has played for the Wisconsin Lakers the past 4 seasons.
Abby is a crafty lefty that can get to the rack or knock down a 3 from dead. She had a big summer having big game after big game. Multiple games she hit over four 3’s a game. Not only can she hit the 3 consistently, but she can hit it from a couple feet behind the line as well. This skill stretches the defense and frees up her teammates to score easier. Crookston is getting another good Laker that will be a great addition to their program joining; Alison Hughes, Amber Shoenicke, Kelsey Stinson, and Lindsey Weber who are currently on the Golden Eagles roster.Read More

Congratulations to 2017 5’10 G Kenzie Schmitz from Germantown on her commitment to NCAA Division 1 Miami Ohio from the MAC conference. Kenzie had multiple Division 1 offers but decided she wanted to be a Red Hawk. Everyone notices Kenzie for her athletic ability and strength but what gets lost is how hard she works to not only be the athlete that she is, but the basketball player that she is. Her ability to guard multiple positions, rebound, and score in a variety of ways is all from a lot of time she has put in to become a great player.
Miami is getting a very special talent, but they are getting an even more special young lady on and off the court. It has been a privilege getting to know and coach Kenzie the last two years. Looking forward to watching her finish out her Laker career in DC and Augusta with hopefully a National title to cap off a tremendous Laker career.Read More
