Abby Guidinger Commits D2

Posted by on Aug 28, 2016 in General |

Congratulations to Abby Guidinger 5’10 2017 SG from Kettle Moraine on committing to NCAA D2 Minnesota Crookston from the Northern Sun Conference. Abby is our 3rd player to commit to a school in the Northern Sun this year! She has played for the Wisconsin Lakers the past 4 seasons.

Abby is a crafty lefty that can get to the rack or knock down a 3 from dead. She had a big summer having big game after big game. Multiple games she hit over four 3’s a game. Not only can she hit the 3 consistently, but she can hit it from a couple feet behind the line as well. This skill stretches the defense and frees up her teammates to score easier. Crookston is getting another good Laker that will be a great addition to their program joining; Alison Hughes, Amber Shoenicke, Kelsey Stinson, and Lindsey Weber who are currently on the Golden Eagles roster.

Calli Delsman Commits D2

Posted by on Aug 28, 2016 in Club Announcements |

Congratulations to Calli Delsman 5’10 2017 G from Waukesha West on committing to NCAA D2 Minot State University in the Northern Sun Conference. Calli has played for the Lakers for the past 3 seasons, and will be joining Kari Clements who is currently a Sophomore at Minot.

Calli has one of the better off hand drives you will see, and a spin move that is deadly. Her ability to be able to guard multiple positions, as well as her ability to score inside/outside makes her a tough match-up for anyone. She is one of those players that isn’t flashy but has a knack for making big plays/shots that alter the outcomes of games. Her long arms and rebounding ability will be missed.

Macy Williams Commits D2

Posted by on Aug 10, 2016 in Club Tournaments |

Congratulations to 2017 PG Macy Williams from Sussex Hamilton on committing to NCAA Division 2 University of Mary from the Northern Sun Conference. Macy has played the last two summers on Lakers White and a total of 7 years in the Laker program!

Having coached Macy for 5 of her 7 season in the Lakers its very bittersweet to see her commit today. Exciting to see such a great kid achieve her dream of playing at the next level, but also sad for me that she won’t be in a Laker uniform next summer. I was blessed with the opportunity to coach her for many years, she is a great basketball talent, but an even better leader and high character young lady.
