Smith Traore Commits D1

Posted by on Sep 2, 2016 in Club Announcements |

Congratulations to Myriama Smith Traore 6’2 F from Whitewater on her commitment to NCAA D1 Marquette University from the Big East Conference. M was one of the prized forward recruits in the 2017 class in the country and committed to MU over ACC and Big Ten programs. M played for the Lakers for 4 years.

Myriama is simply a dominating force on the defense on end of the floor able to guard 3-5 positions as good as anyone you will find. She is also the most dominate rebounder I have ever seen. She can take a game over without scoring a point which makes her a very special player. What is really scary is she has the ability to post up, drive to the rack, or knock down the 3 with the best of them, but she much prefers to distribute the ball and get teammates open. Tremendous get for Marquette and look forward to watching M try to lead her team to another state championship this season.

Calli Delsman Commits D2

Posted by on Aug 28, 2016 in Club Announcements |

Congratulations to Calli Delsman 5’10 2017 G from Waukesha West on committing to NCAA D2 Minot State University in the Northern Sun Conference. Calli has played for the Lakers for the past 3 seasons, and will be joining Kari Clements who is currently a Sophomore at Minot.

Calli has one of the better off hand drives you will see, and a spin move that is deadly. Her ability to be able to guard multiple positions, as well as her ability to score inside/outside makes her a tough match-up for anyone. She is one of those players that isn’t flashy but has a knack for making big plays/shots that alter the outcomes of games. Her long arms and rebounding ability will be missed.

Her fierce competitiveness was a joy to be around this summer, and looking forward to watching her have a great Senior season. Her selflie skills will be greatly missed as well. Grace was a member of the Wisconsin Lakers for two seasons.

Macy Williams Commits D2

Posted by on Aug 10, 2016 in Club Tournaments |

Congratulations to 2017 PG Macy Williams from Sussex Hamilton on committing to NCAA Division 2 University of Mary from the Northern Sun Conference. Macy has played the last two summers on Lakers White and a total of 7 years in the Laker program!

Having coached Macy for 5 of her 7 season in the Lakers its very bittersweet to see her commit today. Exciting to see such a great kid achieve her dream of playing at the next level, but also sad for me that she won’t be in a Laker uniform next summer. I was blessed with the opportunity to coach her for many years, she is a great basketball talent, but an even better leader and high character young lady.
