Wisconsin Lakers White 2019 is the 2018 Blue Star National Champs! What a way to end a dominating season and July for this group. Beating some of the best teams in the country to finish out the season. This group also went 6-0 at the Nike Tournament of Champions in Chicago July 10-12th, won the UA Mid America Challenge in Shakopee MN July 23-25th, and then won Blue Star Nationals in Orlando July 27-29th!
This group finished 46-6 on the season and only 3 loses when had their full roster. This was a special group from start to finish and played their best basketball in July when finally fully healthy and together. Natalie Andersen 6’0 G from Mukwonago has committed to NCAA D1 IUPUI and Tara Stauffacher 5’11 G has committed to Wisconsin. 6 more members from this group have Division 1 offers!
Congratulations to Natalie Andersen 6’0 G from Mukwonago on committing to play for NCAA Division 1 IUPUI from the Horizon League. Natalie is coming off a great High School season where she was Co Classic 8 Player of the Year as well as Division 1 All State.
Natalie was a huge reason why the Laker White team was one of the best teams this past summer you could find. She hit big shot after big shot, and her ability to score inside/out makes her very tough to guard as well as being 6’0. Her ball handling ability and shot creation for teammates will make her very tough at the next level as well.
We are very proud of Nat to see all her hard work play off, and will miss her playing for the Lakers but we look forward to watching her play in College!
Congratulations to 2019 5’11 G Tara Stauffacher from Beaver Dam on committing to the University of Wisconsin from the Big Ten. Tara has played Lakers since the 6th grade. We are all very proud of Tara and all her hard working being rewarded. The best is yet to come. Best of luck to Tara and Beaver Dam as they look to defend their state title.
Wisconsin Lakers 7th White goes 7-0 to win the National Summer Classic coming off a 7-0 Jimmy V Classic Championship. What a great job by the players and coaches on a strong finish to the season. Dealing with injuries this team managed to get better and better as the season went on! Wins over Become One (from Canada twice including the finals), Closed Gym League (Twice), IAI Stunners, Lady Hoop Dreams, and Wisconsin Elite. Great season ladies looking forward to the Fall event and then next summer already!
